Coco’s Variety is a rad bicycle shop in the Los Angeles Area and they were doing a limited run of shirts and had asked some typographers and illustrators to do a piece. After countless hours of research and I was set on being inspired by motorcycling and all the close calls I personally have had on my Honda Bobber by peoples lack of attention. I came across some pegs made by Chopper Dave that had a quote from Tim Conder that referenced his quote “Cheating Death is specifically what motorcycles are for.” I believe that to apply to anything on two wheels so the Cheat Death graphic for print was born. I had a meeting/presentation with Adidas about three to four weeks ago and I decided to show them the process I use to illustrate a type piece so I made a illustrated type piece specifically for this meeting using ScreenFlow to record my screen and Final Cut Pro to edit and add music that was the first time I ever used those programs and it was a lot of fun I also made a Zine of my latest works also… YAY! Well recently I did a cover for good friend DJ Jayceeoh for his latest mix Pop Models Vol. 4.
